I thought it would be nice for my first post to be one of gratitude. Further posts will be discussions about our classes after they happen and you are welcome to comment.
I am eternally grateful to the London Clinic, my consultant Dr Thillianayagam, my surgeon Mr Mudan, the fabulous nurses (too numerous to name but you know who you are!) and housekeeping staff on the fifth floor, all staff in the ICU and theatre, and the third floor, pain management Jamie, dietitian Michelle, physiotherapists, P.A.’s Pippa. Danielle, Laura & Gabby. Without all of their due care and diligence I would not be typing this today.
But most importantly I want to speak about the love and support from my husband Steve, daughter Antonia, granddaughter Beatrice and all of my lovely family. My friends, my dear friends, who rallied round me and each in their own individual way enhanced my life and recovery. I want to name names and in the essence of fairness will do this in alphabetical order! Thank you, Amanda, Anne, Carole, Janet, Janice, Jennie, Karen, Louise, Mandy, Marcelle, Maria, Renee, Ruth, and Tasha.
My students, too many to name, they are your classes, not mine and you keep me going. I have so much I want to share with you that I cannot possibly stop! Some of you I’ve known for over 15 years, some less so and some newcomers, but you are all special to me.
Thank you all for sharing this journey with me. None of us knows what the future will bring, but right here and now, all is well.
